The Titans have a Quarterback (and possibly Head Coach) Problem.

Well, that’s not how I expected this season to end.

The Titans fell to the Cincinnati Bengals 19–16 in Nashville. What an absolutely brutal way to end a season- a season in which the Titans earned the AFC’s number 1 seed and attained home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.

Ultimately, the home-field advantage mattered not. The Titans (talking to the offense, not the defense), did not show up in the most crucial game of the year. Tannehill played terribly, giving up 3 interceptions, and yes, they were all poor throws.

The play-calling was atrocious at best- Todd Downing and Mike Vrabel made zero adjustments and made several questionable calls along the way:

  • Giving D’Onta Foreman only 4 carries even as Derrick Henry struggled to get going.
  • On 3rd and 1, a QB option was called- which lost a yard. This was a case of trying to get cute instead of making the right football decision.
  • GOING FOR 2 IN THE FIRST HALF??? This failed two point try was ultimately the difference- if the Titans took an extra point, the team could’ve simply ran out the clock on the last drive. Instead, the game was tied, and Tannehill ended up throwing his 3rd INT of the game, sealing the Titans’ fate.
